You wander aimlessly through the wastelands when suddenly a huge dragon appears in the sky. You seek cover, but it is too late... with unbelievable speed and grace the massive winged beast lands
before you. Steam is coming out of its nostrils and the creature slowly open its huge mouth: “Have no fear, puny human! I will not kill you... for now. For many years I haven’t had the chance to talk with another
intelligent creature.” As the dragon notices that you fear starts to vanish, its huge hands grab a book that was hidden under one of its arms. The dragon opens the book and places it in front of you on the ground. Then
it speaks again: “Let me tell you of Dungeons and Dragons...” |

In August 2000 Wizards of the Coast
published the Third Edition of the best known pen and paper role playing game of the World: Dungeons & Dragons. Instead of only improving the existing AD&D 2nd Edition WotC created a totally
new system that combines the strengths of AD&D without copying its weaknesses. |

The new Player’s Handbook was released August 16th, the Dungeon Master’s Guide and the Monster Manual followed in September and October. The artwork presented in these books was better than anything
you have seen in AD&D before and the new rules are more straight-forward and easier to learn than the rules of previous versions. I am not going to post a complete review of all three core rule books on this site,
because there are lots of good reviews found all over the internet. In Jharik Dragon’s Wastelands you’ll find useful and interesting stuff for your own D&D campaign. If you have any ideas or own works you want to
have published here, write me an email. |
